Everest is a 4 year old Lab/Akita mix that came to us because his owner passed away and the family is unable to care for him. He is about 100 lbs and very strong! According to our vet, Everest needs to lose about 20 lbs, so he needs a home that can give him the diet and exercise he needs to be healthy. 

Everest has been very calm and friendly with new people. He does need to work on leash manners and basic commands, but he does seem to want to please people and can be very affectionate once he knows you. He is very motivated by food and toys and loves to chase balls around the yard. Everest gets along with other animals and people of all ages, however, he has shown some resource guarding and therefore it would be best for him to be with an owner that can handle this behavior and work on him with training to overcome it. Caution around small animals and children is advised until he is trained.

Everest is generally healthy with the exception of being overweight. Heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. He is currently on Simparica Trio for HW, parasite and flea prevention.

Adult Male, approximately 1 year old. Mr. Big got his name because he is  a bit on the larger side (not overweight) as far as cats go at a year old. He also has very big paws and is strikingly handsome!

Mr. Big is sometimes unsure on first meeting and will need a home with patience as he gets used to a new environment and new people. However, once he trusts you, Mr. Big shows a more confident side and is an extremely loving, talkative and affection seeking man.

Big is good with other friendly cats, dogs, people and children (once he knows them).  He is FIV/FeLV negative, neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations and flea prevention.
